Terms of Service

Who you're agreeing with

Mine is a personal recommendation app operated by Ajay Daga as an individual ("we", "us"). By using Mine you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

The service

Mine lets you capture personal recommendations, share them with people you invite into your network, and ask your network for recommendations on specific topics. The app uses third-party services to classify and enrich what you save (see the Privacy Policy).

Your account

You sign in with a phone number or email through Firebase Authentication. You're responsible for keeping access to that account secure. Don't share credentials, and don't impersonate someone else when creating an account.

Your content

You own the recommendations, questions, endorsements, and notes you create in Mine. By using the app, you give us a limited license to store, process, and display that content for the purpose of running Mine for you and the people you've invited into your network. We don't claim ownership of your content and we don't share it outside your network.

Acceptable use

Don't use Mine to:

• Harass, threaten, or harm anyone.
• Share content that is illegal, infringing, sexually explicit, or hateful.
• Spam your network or post commercial advertising.
• Attempt to access another user's account, data, or network.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with the app's infrastructure beyond what applicable law permits.
• Use Mine in any way that violates Apple's App Store Guidelines or the terms of the third-party services Mine depends on.

Service availability

We provide Mine on a best-effort basis during testing. We may add, change, or remove features, reset data, or pause the service at any time. We don't guarantee that Mine will be available, error-free, or that any specific content will be preserved.

Disclaimer of warranties

Mine is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We make no warranty that recommendations classified, enriched, or surfaced by the app are accurate, complete, or current.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of Mine. Our total liability for any claim related to Mine is limited to USD $100.

Account termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. After termination we delete the data we hold for you, subject to the retention notes in the Privacy Policy.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Mine evolves. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. For material changes during testing, we'll surface a notice in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Mine will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Multnomah County, Oregon, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
